With dedication and a heart for helping others, I have strived to make a difference in the lives of those around me. This legacy of service drives me every day, ensuring that I help as many people as possible through every challenge and opportunity.
I am a first-generation American born in South Central Los Angeles. I am the youngest of seven children, and the age difference between my siblings ranges from 20 to 5 years. My parents, with hardworking ethics, relentless drive, and an entrepreneurial mindset, immigrated from Colombia, South America, to the United States in the late '60s with a dream of providing a better life for their children while instilling in us the importance of our faith, family traditions, and values. Raised in a Spanish-speaking household, I learned English in school and experienced a unique blend of cultures.
After graduating from high school and attending college for a few years, I found myself undecided about a career path. My love for fashion led me to work in retail, and between, I dabbled in modeling for bridal and hair shows. However, the dream of a long-term modeling career was short-lived.
A family tragedy forged my path to real estate when my oldest sister, Maria, a successful real estate agent at the height of her career, was in a severe auto accident that nearly left her paraplegic. Her tragic accident in the 1990s impacted her physically. This was a turning point for me when I stepped in to assist her with showings, appointments, and handling her transactions; I witnessed firsthand her dedication to serving underserved communities, especially the Hispanic community, advocating on their behalf and helping them qualify for unique resources to buy their first homes.
Witnessing my sister's dedication and advocacy for underserved communities inspired me deeply. In 1997, motivated by her resilience and passion, I obtained my real estate license to continue her impactful work. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles helped me develop a deep understanding of the city's diverse communities and cultural richness. My Spanish-speaking upbringing and solid Catholic faith allowed me to relate well to Hispanic families by bridging communication gaps and offering much-needed support. It became my mission to be a reliable real estate resource for these communities. I have navigated various market crises throughout my career, including the foreclosure crisis in the early nineties and the early 2000s market crash. During that season, I became a short sale specialist to help families avoid foreclosure. I learned the mortgage process to further my understanding of the industry; I worked as a consultant for Countrywide Home Loans and later Bank of America. This period tested my skills and commitment but reinforced my belief in the importance of my work.
Throughout my career, I have had my peers and industry leaders suggest a shift to serving the luxury market to make more money. But my greatest passion remained with the families who needed me the most. The financial crisis put my work into perspective, reminding me to deliver a luxury experience to all clients, regardless of their price point. My goal is to help as many families as possible, especially those facing additional obstacles to homeownership, feel supported and advocated for.
I continuously invest in professional growth by attending real estate conferences such as Keller Williams Mega Camp and Tom Ferry Summits. I am an active member of several real estate organizations such as the Southland Regional Association of Realtors (SRAR), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the California Association of Realtors (CAR), and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) where I served as a board member in their LA South Bay chapter (2018-2020) and was elected Vice President in 2020.
I am part of the Homes for Heroes Organization, which holds a special place in my heart, stemming from my personal life as a proud wife of a dedicated law enforcement officer for the City of Los Angeles. The organization celebrates and rewards our American heroes who are in the process of buying or selling a home through its unique reward programs for all veterans, military personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, nurses, first responders, and teachers- who selflessly dedicate their lives to serving others its a way of saying thank you for serving others. Service deserves a reward!
Over the years, I have been recognized as a top-producing agent in the Keller Williams Realty organization, a testament to my commitment and excellence in the field. However, my ultimate achievement is the difference I am making with the catalog of success stories from the many families I have served over the years—a legacy I prize the most.
On a personal note, I am a wife and bonus mom to Mat and Steven. My husband and I are proud Godparents to our adorable 6-year-old goddaughter, Kjay, an intelligent, empathic child with a big heart, and our beloved fur baby Hendrix. I love hosting gatherings for family and friends at my home. Seeing my family interact and bond brings me immense joy. I cherish family time, enjoying barbecues, and spending quiet moments in the backyard with my husband.
In real estate, authenticity is key. I believe in presenting myself genuinely, relating to and serving everyday people who need real estate assistance the most. I am a relentless optimist and hope inspirer for families who can't believe it's possible to own a home. By learning the stories of my clients, I can connect with them and find the best solution for their needs. My passion lies in helping first-time homebuyers on their journey by empowering them with information and resources to align them with the right loan programs. As a sellers' advocate, I help struggling sellers find better solutions, ensuring a stress-free and therapeutic selling experience.
I believe in not just handing out keys to families but opening doors to new beginnings and prosperity. I am a big believer in God's work and firmly believe I was put on this earth to help others. Ultimately, my goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients and expand my business with professionals who share my values, passion, and dedication to making a positive impact. Together, we aim to inspire hope and provide unparalleled service to the families we serve.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family with the same dedication and care that have defined my career.
Sincerely,
Your go to REALTOR®
